Radiation Oncologists

Dr Delaibatiki completed her postgraduate specialty training in Radiation Oncology in Auckland in 2015.  She is a medical school graduate of Otago University.  She grew up in Fiji before her family moved to Hamilton where she completed secondary school. 

She has extensive oncology experience, having previously worked in Auckland and Palmerston North Regional Cancer Centres, before settling in Tauranga.  She has experience in a wide variety of adult tumour streams and is an active member of the Auckland Regional Gynae-Oncology, Waikato Regional Head and Neck and Neuro-Oncology Multidisciplinary Meeting Groups.  Miriama is experienced in the use of advanced radiotherapy techniques including IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, stereotactic radiotherapy, and HDR brachytherapy.  She believes in the multidisciplinary and evidence-based management of cancer and provides a compassionate and personalised approach to patient care.  She has a continued commitment to education and research in her tumour stream areas.
