Radiation Oncologists

David completed his basic medical training in India. He subsequently worked as a junior doctor in the UK and eventually moved to NZ where he trained as a Radiation Oncologist working in Palmerston North and Auckland.

In 2013, after completing his speciality training, David moved to Dunedin to work as a Radiation Oncologist where he gained experience in use of stereotactic ablative radiation (SABR) for brain tumours and lung cancers. During this tenure he also worked as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Otago and as the Director of Training in Radiation Oncology.

David joined the Kathleen Kilgour Centre team in 2019. He is involved in the treatment of most adult cancers and is experienced in the use of both the simple and also the more complex radiation delivery techniques like Volumetric Modulated Arc therapy (VMAT) using image guidance. He specialises in the delivery of stereotactic ablative radiotherapy to cancer. He is a member of ESTRO (European Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology), and aims to provide a personalized approach to cancer care at the KKC.
